This information is for anyone who may be considering purchasing a download of a GPS map from this company. I purchased a download for my Garmin Nuvi for Costa Rica and was assured it worked fine, but I was extremely disappointed, the GPS map did not work correctly, giving incorrect directions, telling you to turn when there are no roads to turn onto. Telling me to turn onto one way streets in San Jose. the GPS map lead me around San Jose for 45 minutes and I ended up back at the exact starting point where I began. I ended up doing my navigation the old fashioned way using a road map.Total waste of time and $50 of my money. I have e-mailed them numerous times and requested a refund and they do not respond. They responded rapidly when I was considering the purchase of the product. So just beware you might want to look elsewhere for your GPS maps.

My experience with GPStravelmaps.com is also very negative. I purchased their GPS map of Panama for my Garmin Nuvi. The map is incomplete, it has very few identified roads, even in Panama City. Some of the very few roads that are identified are incorrectly named. In my view, this is a worthless product. I have asked them to refund me the cost, $50.-. They have not replied.
My advice is to consider another supplier for a GPS map of Panama.

I suggest you try the following:
http://www.cenrut.org/

The current version is:
http://www.cenrut.org/Mapas/CenRut23.rar

This free project includes Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama and Belize.

The maps sold by GPSTRAVELMAPS are a joke. I bought the map for Guatemala from them because it was the only routable map I could find. Tested it right after I got it and immediately found it was poorly done. Shows streets that don't exist which messes my GPS routing taking me to dead ends or close streets. Also, I've never seen a square roundabout but apparently in Guatemala none of them are circular, all are square. And don't get me started on curves, it all strait lines with this map.

What is really insulting is that they didn't even run a spell check on the text of the map... a basic thing a kid in school does and this "company" can't. Apparently "bulevard" is a valid word in the spanish dictionary.

I'm really pissed off for being conned out of my $50. They sold me a routable map and gave a me a piece of crap that is useless on my GPS.

Take my advice and stay away from gpstravelmaps. I'll be checking out the links suggested by dakrause .

I would also concur with previous negative comments. My Costa Rica map did not load well. There were many mistakes outside of San Jose concerning one-way streets. In one instance it led me onto an off ramp into oncoming traffic (I didn't take the ramp). There is little to no customer service. I commented on their website site and did finally get a response which was basically an excuse that they weren't doing their job. What bothered me is they didn't ask for corrections to the map. Since then (this was Dec 2010), they have taken down their forums which had mine and others negative comments.

I wasn't going to bother with registering and going through the hassel but after reading the last post from someone from the actual company I just cannot miss the opportunity.
Dear Sir, thank you for not responding to my email.
gpstravelmaps.com should offer refunds if they stand behind thier product.
I found your gps map for Costa Rica to be dangerous at times and really only to be used in conjunction with real paper road maps.
I just returned from 3 weeks of driving the entire country and if you have been to Costa Rica recently you would know it is not a country for Sunday drivers. Do your research and seriously consider other navigation options.
