I ride motorcycles on and off road so im looking for a gps that can take topo maps and road maps water resistant and of course inexpensive any ideas out there???

Depending on your budget you'll probably find something. Most handhelds don't come with maps but Garmin has the advantage that free homemade mapping is available. See http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/

You might even want to give some consideration to a Garmin Nuvi 500. I have one that I take with while out on the ATV. I find that I don't want or need to have it mounted navigating constantly, but rather have it with and then can turn it on just to see where I am. The beauty of that is you can use it on the dash of a vehicle when not riding motorcycles. It actually integrates road and topographical map. (Think of a road map with added contour lines built in.)

From the specifications : Waterproof: yes (IPX7) (link)

An IPX7 designation means the GPS case can withstand accidental immersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
