 Post subject: Researching Garmin 500

I was doing research on the 500. Expensive. I thought it was preloaded with Topo maps. Now I don't think so. Tried to find maps for certain areas like Western MA. Not available. The ones that are available are about $140
I don't think the topo maps are available for all areas. Before you dump $500 into a unit like this, make sure you can get the maps that go with the marine functions that you want.

The nuvi 500 (if that's the unit to which you are referring) does, in fact, come preloaded with the Topo maps.
