I downloaded a GPX file from
http://www.toiletmap.gov.au/
which is an Australian Government site giving information about the location of public toilets.

But it gives error messages when trying to load into either MapSource or PoiLoader.

Can any GPX experts please advise what the problem might be?
Note that this forum software seems to strip out leading spaces on each line but I presume that is of no consequence.

Content of file follows:

Download EasyGPS and try to open the file there. It will indicate which tags are not matched and what line the problem is on. It only took about five minutes to make it work in EasyGPS.

MapSource might not like it because it doesn't contain any location info. There may be other problems, but there wouldn't be much point in opening it in MapSource without lat and lon. The waypoints in a Garmin produced gpx file have the form:

<wpt>
<ele>35.934692</ele>
<name>Garmin Europe</name>
<sym>Flag, Blue</sym>
</wpt>

Thanks Allory for the link to EasyGPS. I find I can make the downloaded files useable just by loading them into EasyGPS and saving them.

I had not noticed the lack of any lat/long information in the example I posted. It is odd that other files downloaded later did contain position information so there must have been something strange going on when I first logged on to the site.

With your help I have achieved my objective and I now have stored over 1500 toilets covering the whole city.

I'm glad you got it figured out because that's a very funny statement.
