Can someone post the latest software and firmware please?
I just bought a Megallan 700 off eBay that didn't include the software or new firmware and I'd like to update this thing. I can't seem to register the GPS on the official site either. So if anyone has these files could you please upload them for me. Thanks!

Have you tried the downloads section of the Magellan website?

Yes, but I need to register in order to download from there. However the serial number from this gps I bought keeps coming up as invalid!

I wonder if it's possible the GPS was stolen? If you report your GPS stolen, Magellan could block use of the serial number. Buying on e-bay often gets stolen stuff. Did you get an original purchase receipt or something to prove you own it legally?

Another consideration is that the last downloadable update for the 700 is 3.54, which is way out of date. The only way to get newer firmware is to also update the maps by sending them ~$100 for a DVD. What version are you running now?
