I have heard you can have interference from certain windshields that may contain metal... I have a new 2007 BMW X3 SUV, does anyone know if I can use a GPS with internal antenna such as the GARMIN NUVI, TOMTOM or LOWRANCE in such a vehicle??

Your windshield is probably not metallized. This (outdated) page lists some which were. E-Z Pass
