I suspect that because all the new Macs are running on Intel chips and have the capability of running Windows in native mode, that Garmin's incentive to port their software line to the Mac OS may become non-existent. If anyone else knows more, please let us know.
I don't know any more than anyone else. However, I'm pretty sure Garmin will make good on their promise to release Mac OS software. They've already released the Mac OS version of their Training Center software:
This was released well after the Mac Intel chip switch so I see no reason why they wouldn't continue to port their other software to Mac OS. After all, just because a Mac can run Windoze doesn't mean every Mac user wants to pony up for a Windoze install (let alone use the archaic Windoze interface!
). Let's just hope they don't let yet ANOTHER year go by before the Mac MapSource software release!
