I was showing a GPS to a friend today and showed him how it works. I went to Favorites, then spelled the name, then the address came up, etc, and when it said, "Go", I clicked it. Then....it started from another address clear across town that I went to yesterday, instead of my home. I don't know where it would have led me. I don't know why it did that, but the GPS wasn't working right. What went wrong? Thanks for any help I can get.

Did you have a satellite lock at the time?

I don't know what a satelite lock is, but I didn't notice any disfunction in the unit. When I drove yesterday, it took me to my destination, and I didn't use it getting home because I took a different route than the one getting me there to begin with. I can't remember if I shut it off or not before driving home.

Something is wrong with what you are saying. You don't go to favorites and spell anything - you select the favorite you want to go to. The only time you would spell anything is if you make a selection from WHERE TO/ADDRESS or WHERE TO/POI. Favorites are nothing more than a list of waypoints that you have saved, and you would select from a list.

Satellite lock means you were receiving a clear GPS satellite signal at the time you tried this.
