I am about to order a Garmin C-530 as an upgrade to my trusty (and crusty) old Garmin V Deluxe. (I bought that one on Jack's recommendation almost 4 years ago)
The "What's in the package" notes say a 12v power cord is included, but they list a cigarette lighter plug as an optional accessory.

Does this unit ship with a cigarette lighter plug-in? I would think so, given that it is an automotive GPS, but I'm not taking anything for granted.

Yes it does. It will also charge via the USB cable when hooked up to your PC.

This is going to be a real treat to use over my tiny V Deluxe. I was just wondering why he first accessory listed was a cigarette lighter plug if one was shipped with the unit.
The V Deluxe will become a full-time hunting/hiking/geo caching unit.
I have to say that this is indeed a wonderful time to be alive. My first GPS unit cost almost $4,000...I used it on my boat as a replacement for Loran-C. I bought the V Deluxe with a rebate from Garmin for $329...with 18 mb of memory. That is the same price I will be paying for this C-530.
