I have a xanavi birdview navigation system. I was told it plays dvds but unfortunatly it doesnt. The drive says on it compact disk. Is it possible to undo the screen and conncect it to a dvd drive and play dvds? Any help or information on this system would be apreciated.

I assume when it says it plays DVD, it means map info stored on a DVD, and not movies. I can't imagine they will allow you to play DVD movies on the car's dash.

I see it's a while since you posted this request. I also have an Xanavi Birdview system in my Nissan from Japan. I am in New Zealand and they don't make CD maps for this area. Can you tell me where I could get an English speaking CD or DVD map for viewing? Obviouly it wouldn't be of any use here but would just like to try it.
Thanks
KG

Mine is a different model to that one of yours and I don't have any instructions either. Most stuff on the net is in Japaneese which is not much good. I would like to get a dvd that is in english. Doesn't matter which map as long as it is in english. I think then I could navigate around some of the options (that are all in japaneses at the momet)
The Tv doesn't work here in NZ as we are Pal tv and they are ntsf (might have the letters the wrong way round there) .

I am also using xanavi birdview road map in Japanese.
My car is Nissan Liberty 2002 and I am in New Zealand.
The biggest problem of using it is that I cannot change the time that displayed on the navigator.

Can anyone please please help me with it???

For the DVD system, I've done it for a right choice. It is in the navigation system that I need to change the language and the time. I've contact the company and purchased a disk from them to make some proper change.

Hi All,]

I have imported my car from Japan.

A Nissan March AK 12 - Model UA AK12.

I have an onboard dvd system and gps map. However, its all Japanese.

Is there a way I can change its language setting to english?

I live in Mauritius and I am also looking for a GPS Map.

Could anyone please help?

Thank you.

I think we are chasing our tail on this one. A russian site I visited that had lots of info said there was no was to change the language no matter what you did. So maybe I will forget it. Too bad eh! as it looks a great system.
Xanavi told me one time back that they were not interested in the south pacific

Are you saying you are using the Xanavi and a map of New Zealand comes up? But in Japanese?
