Okay, this is down right weird!

A TomTom One, 3rd edition, factory shipped (replaced one with the white screen of death problem), I purchased a little less than a year ago for my father, has had an odd malfunction for close to 5 months now.. I did an update back then, and then at random, and without any interaction, the device would turn on by itself. (he was awoken by the bright light at 3:10AM, with it sitting on the dresser near the bed.) shutting it down, it stayed that way, then a few days later, it did it again..

He left it with me last week, and it just did it again today.. (when I came home from work, I noticed it back on again.)

Just did another update/backup of it.. has anyone else experienced this odd phenomenon?

Very odd.. to say nothing fo the need to recharge the battery for the time it was sitting idle/On.
