Hello all,

I have an OLD handheld GPS unit, the 4000XL. I can't get it to work, and even though it is relatively ancient, I thought someone may be able to guide me. The unit powers up, and at the end of the initialization process, it stays in the searching . . . mode ad infinitum. Before I throw it away, I would like to look inside to check for obvious things, circuit board cracks, etc. Problem is, I can't figure out how to get it open! Anyone know the secret to getting one of these open without cracking it like an egg? Any other thoughts would be appreciated, including buy a new one! This was given go me as non-working and I love a challenge.
