I have a Magellan Roadmate 760 with three defined user accounts. The first account has about 200 addresses stored in its address book. All are necessary, so that I can make changes to my itinerary on the fly. I need to add more, but the unit refuses to allow it. Some were added by looking up street address and then saving the destination in the address book. Others were located by GPS coordinates (using the Locate button after arrival) because they could not be located by street address, and then added to the address book. Addresses in one account are not accessible to other accounts, so I can't plan a trip that includes addresses from more than one account at a time.

When I am on the road, it is easy to add locations to the address book as described above, so I would like to increase the limit to the number of addresses that can be stored in the first account. However, I have no idea of how to do so, or if it possible. Supposedly, each of the three user accounts can store up to 200 addresses, so the present theoretical limit is 600 addresses.

A more desirable alternative is to create a set of POI categories in which to store the existing addresses and into which I can transfer future additions to the address book. The difficulty that I face is that the POI Manager utility for PCs provided with the unit only allows addition of POIs by GPS coordinates. The unit does not display the GPS coordinates of addresses when browsing the list.

I'd be ecstatic if someone can describe a way to copy entries from the address book to selected POI categories with all necessary information: GPS coordinates and either name alone or name and street address, ideally with appended information, such as phone number. Is there anyone who can help?
