I have a new magellan explorist xl. I am having a hard time syncing the computer to magellan. When I go to Mapsender Manager, my device is not found??? Pointers, tips, etc... would be helpful

i had a problem with my explorist 600,turns out i had the usb cable upside down,the cable is supposed to run down the back of the unit.
