Mapsource 6.16.2 - performance extremely poor when responding to any clicked box. Scrolls/pans around maps fine and scrolling thru lookup boxes OK. For example trying to exit from Mapsource is impossible - had to use task manager to end task!
PC is Dell Latitude D810 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 2.13GHz 2GB RAM Windows XP SP3
This problem started with 6.15.7 but is considerably worse with 6.16.2
Anybody got any ideas re how to fix this?

It might be security software related. Try excluding the folder where MapSource is installed from realtime scanning by your antivirus/firewall programs.

No problems here - running on Windows XP SP3, and on Windows 7 Home Premium (both 32-bit). As Chinook says, try disabling your anti-virus software temporarily and see if it improves.

I have also been in contact with Garmin support who recommend totally uninstalling and re-installing.
I tried the antivirus idea - no difference.
Tx Will let you know how it goes.
