I'm curious my phone comes with the capability to do GPS Navigation and location based services. What would be the benefit of using a vehicle device(tom tome, Garmin) instead? :?:

I'm guessing that a much larger screen would be the most important. Otherwise it would depend on the GPS apps on your phone.

Phone based GPS only works if you can get a cell signal. "vehicle device" like garmin depends on Satellite and works anywhere.
